What is the difference between "self-employment" and "entrepreneur"?
YNC differentiates in this way: "self-employment" typically refers to an individual who starts a solo company, or one where they are the boss, and other employees form the support team. This type of company typically produces income for the employees, but does not have a potential to go public.

An "entrepreneur" type company refers to companies requiring teams where many people have equal levels of responsibility. It also includes those ventures that require large amounts of capital, and typically seek funding from venture capital firms. These firms must have the potential to go public or be acquired to attract the large amount of capital required.
